Taking a Break!

Hello world,

I'm taking a break from my blog for about a month. It's officially my holiday from work right now, so I don't think I'll be using the computer very much for the next little while. I'm ready for a long rest after last semester :-) See you all later,

New Apartment!

I'm living in a new apartment! Wow, it is so much better than my old apartment. My new apartment is really great. It is on the second floor of my building, and I even have a view of some mountains out of my window. My old apartment was tiny, depressing and dark. The apartment I am in now is big, happy and bright - so you can imagine that I am feeling much better lately.

To celebrate moving into my new apartment, I had a shabu shabu party on Saturday night. My friends Kathy, Ryan, Jessica, Leighton, Janet and Taka were all there, and we ate a lot of food! We had pork, beef, chicken balls, gyoza, glass noodles, rice cakes, and tons of vegetables. It was the first time that Kathy and Ryan had ever eaten shabu shabu, so I was really happy that I could make it for them. Kathy and Ryan had to go home, but Jessica, Leighton and Taka all stayed over (Janet is my neighbour), and the next morning we ate waffles. It was a total food weekend. It was lots of fun.

Last night was Sunday night. I went to another party last night too. My friend Paul had a "make your own pizza party". He bought all the ingrediants necessary to make pizza, and then everyone created their own pizzas and cooked them in a toaster oven (Paul had three just for the party!) It was such a really great idea. He had five kinds of cheese: gouda, cheddar, mozarella, parmesean, and goat. There were also lots of really rare stuff like articoke hearts. It was so good. I even had two glasses of wine, which is really rare for me, so I think I was even feeling a little bit drunk. Anyway, Paul gave me a really great idea for how to have a party. I can't wait to have a "make your own pizza" party at my house.

Anyway, that's it for now!

Peace and Love!

It's all over . . .

Yahoo, I have submitted the marks to the registrar's office, and English II is officially finished. Naturally, students are still trying to submit late assignments through the slot in my door. Unfortuately, it's too late. Better luck next time :-)

As for me, I have just moved apartments. I am surrounded by boxes everywhere. I can't believe how much junk I have accumulated in three semesters. I guess I have to stop picking up all the tourist pamphlets at every temple I go to. Anyway, my new apartment is quite nice. I now live on the second floor far away from the main university buildings. This is a big improvement over the first floor train station that was my old apartment. The only thing I am missing now is a couch. I can't wait!

Later!
