Hello everyone! How are classes? Today, I read a short story out of the book I, Robot with Class 27. It's such a great story. I can't wait to read it with all of my other classes.

I had a really great weekend last weekend. On Saturday night, I had a nabe party. Can you believe it? A nabe party, already, and it is only September! My friends Jessica and Janet surprised me at my house on Saturday. I was hanging out at my house with my friend Taka, when I heard the doorbell ring. I couldn't imagine who it could be. I wasn't expecting anyone. I was very surprised when I opened the door and saw Janet and Jessica standing there. Janet is a teacher at Kansai Gaidai, and Jessica is an elementary school teacher. We all did our master's degrees together at the University of Calgary. It was funny because when Jessica entered my apartment, she gave Taka a big hug. He was surprised because he is Japanese, and Jessica is American. This was the first time that Taka had met Jessica. Japanese people don't usually get big hugs from strangers. However, they became good friends very quickly!!

Luckily, I had all of the ingrediants necessary to make nabe in my house. We made kimchi nabe, and we added tofu and gyoza to the nabe. It was so delicious. After the nabe, we ate brown rice. We talked for hours and had a lot of fun. I hope I can have another nabe party again soon!!
