Autumn Leaves

I went to look at leaves this weekend in Kyoto. I had a lot of fun, but I couldn’t believe all the people. It was so crowded. I went to Kiyumizudera to look at the leaves. On the way to the temple, the streets were packed with people. There were lots of foreigners too! The best part about walking to Kiyumizudera were the pickle shops and the sweet shops. I stopped to test lots of different kinds of pickles. They were all really delicious, but my favourite place was a sweet shop that made traditional Kyoto sweets. At this sweet shop, they gave me a free cup of tea to drink while I tried all of the sweets. It was a lot of fun. When we got to Kiyumizudera, most of the leaves were still green, so I was a little bit surprised. I guess we have had a really warm fall this year. However, some of the leaves had turned red, and they looked really nice. I also got to watch the sunset over the mountains in Kyoto. This was really nice! After looking at the leaves I went to a Katsu restaurant in Kyoto. I had a really great Saturday!

By the way, I did a practice listening test for the Japanese Proficiency Test and I only got 53%!!! Oh No! I need 60% to pass!! No more fun for me until December 5th (the day of the test). Only studying from now on!
